I struggled with body image issues starting in childhood, heavily influenced by the diet culture that my mother and grandmother participated in. This struggle only intensified after having my daughter, leading to more shame and fear about my postpartum body. Initially, I photographed women in ways that society traditionally deemed acceptable, aiming to flatter and hide perceived flaws. However, I soon realized that my own insecurities were influencing my work, potentially perpetuating harmful beauty standards.

This epiphany led me to pivot my focus toward body acceptance and empowerment. I began to embrace a mission of positive messaging, inspired by fearless leaders in the body positivity movement. This transformation allowed me to see and celebrate the value and beauty in my own body which naturally expanded to all bodies. Now, my work is dedicated to helping women like myself reconnect with their bodies, fostering self-love and acceptance. Through this journey, I hope to be a positive example for my daughters and contribute to a more inclusive representation of beauty in art and media.
